GETTING READY FOR FALL

It’s mid-June, so you know what that means…only a few more months until THE BEST GROWING SEASON is here! I’ll wait a bit longer to start the majority of my Fall/Winter seeds, but alliums need more grow time so I’ve started them this month.

Egyptian Walking onion bulbils are curing
Yellow + red bulbing onion seeds have been sown
Garlic chives are sprouting
Bulb garlic seeds cold stratification has begun

Once the temps begin to decline (around October), I’ll transplant these in-ground. I have every intention of 10x-ing my perennial onions and chives production for next year plus have an abundant storage of bulb onions and clove garlic. If this doesn’t turn out to be my reality, it won’t be for lack of effort.
