As we all now know, pollinators are crucial contributors to our food supply. In most regions, Summer is considered a foraging dearth for nature’s tiny workers. Despite seasonal heat, there are flowers that flourish and provide nutritious nectar and pollen for valuable pollinators like bees, butterflies, and more. Below, are my five favorite Summer forage flowers (in no particular order).

[ Zinnia elegans + Ocimum basilicum ]

[ Monarda ]

[Physostegia virginiana]

[Echinacea purpurea]
Attracting pollinators to your garden are not just beautiful to observe and a thoughtful offering to nature, it’ll also help increase your garden’s production. I hope you’ll consider adding these and other flowers to your growing space for next Summer’s forage!
