I’ve been waiting a long time for this – nearly 5 years, to be more accurate. I vividly remember the moment I decided that I was no longer willing to give retailers what they demanded for a small bag of old, dry lemons. Nope.

This week, I proudly harvested fresh lemons from my teeny tree thriving in a 7 gallon grow bag. I received five beautiful lemons from my first year as a citrus grower. That’s one fruit for every year that I held firmly in alignment with my principles. This harvest has me feeling really encouraged to continue growing us out of the deadly and exploitative industrial “food” system. I’m honored to work with the land to offer my vessel – mind, body, and soul – the whole nourishment it deserves. Ashe.
