I believe that the land is our connection to our purpose, our people, and our truest self. It is our path to freedom. To free ourselves, we must feed ourselves. This belief is the underbelly of my obstinance to becoming a farmer who sells food. I don’t want to be the beneficiary of someone’s bondage. Instead, I want to support my community in feeding themselves.

What that looks like for me is constantly unfolding, but I continue to go where I feel led.

While this might often look crazy, it feels SO GOOD. And, at the end of it all, I’m fulfilling my greatest purpose – making my ancestors proud. Ashé🤲🏾
