After nearly two years, I have officially ended my beekeeping apprenticeship. I sent my mentor a most gracious – “It’s not you. It’s me.” – message thanking him for all of the encouragement and knowledge he blessed me with on this journey. I am forever grateful. While I’ll, technically, no longer be a beekeeper-in-training, I will continue to seek new experiences and insights to broaden my understanding of how to be a worthy steward of these magnificent creatures.
