BUMBLE BEES + BLUEBERRIES

Early season blueberries began setting last month and the native bumble bees have been busy pollinating them. I’ve never seen my honey bees foraging the blueberry flowers, but I can always find the bumble bees buzzing all over the bushes. Thanks to the native bumble bees, I expect to be getting my first harvest of the year very soon – even though the late frost came through and tried to ruin blueberry season.

Late frost destroyed many blueberry flowers😣

It’s gonna be a great season still!
